National Instruments VXl-8345 VXl MXl-3 Interface Module 

The VXl-8345 is a VXI MXI-3 Interface Module by National Instruments. The NI VXl-8345 module is fabricated in two versions. The NI VXl-8345 has options for a single-port (Part Number: 778294-01) configuration or a dual-port (Part Number: 778294-02) configuration. The single-port version can be associated with a PC. The dual-port version is widely employed in systems with a multi-chassis configuration.

The NI VXl-8345 VXl MXl-3 Interface Module can be utilized with a fiber-optic cable. The VXl-8345 can also be included as part of the NI VXl-PCl/PXl8345 interface kit. The NI VXl-PCl/PXl8345 interface kit is a combination of a PCl or PXl module from the NI 8330 Series, a VXl-8345 Interface Module, a cable, and bus interfacing software. The NI VXl-8345 is a great choice for customers due to its performance. The VXl-8345 has the capability to combine MITE ASIC with MXl-3 ASIC. The MITE ASIC is a technology applied in NI VXl controllers. A PCl-PCl link coalition is present in MXl-3 ASIC, which is efficient to operate at the PCI peak frequency (33 MHz).

The NI VXl-8345 single-port version may be connected exclusively with a PC in a star configuration. This configuration allows the port of the VXl-8345 module to be connected to a computer with a direct cable. Similarly, the dual-port VXl-8345 is compatible with a daisy chain configuration. The NI VXl-8345 dual-port module has a combination of three ports, which includes MXl-in and MXl–out. The cable from the computer goes into the MXl–in port, passes from the MXl–out port, and then enters into the MXl–in port of the next computer.

VXI-8345 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the VXl MXl-3 Interface Module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
