NI PXIe-PCIe8398 MXI-Express Kit

The PXIe-PCIe8398 (Part Number: 784177-01) is an MXI-Express x16 Gen 3 Kit designed to control a PXI Chassis from a standard personal computer. This kit contains a PCIe-8398 module and a PXIe-8398 module. The PCIe module is deployed into the PCIe slot of a standard PC and the PXIe module is deployed in slot #1 (controller slot) of a compatible PXI Express Chassis. Moreover, the NI PXIe-PCIe8398 kit can be used to control CompactPCI Chassis.

The length of the cable provided in this MXI-Express Kit is 3 meters. Gen 3 MXI-Express architecture remains transparent to device drivers. Additional software is not required to control devices installed in a chassis connected and controlled through the PXIe-PCIe8398 kit. The host interface device incorporated in this MXI-Express Kit has one port and supports communication over a Gen 3 x16 link. Through a NI PXIe-PCIe8398 MXI-Express Kit, you can separate your control system from the measurement system.
