NI PXIe-PCIe8381 MXI-Express Kit

The PXIe-PCIe8381 (Part Number: 782522-01) is a Gen2 x8 MXI-Express interface system for PXIe. This kit supports up to 5 meter cable length and offers software-transparent links that don’t need to be programmed. In the standard configuration, the NI PXIe-PCIe8381 kit operates with a PCIe-8381 connected to a PXIe-8381. The PXIe host device incorporated in this kit comes with a single port and supports communication through a copper x8 PCIe link.

The PXIe-PCIe8381 is an ideal solution for the remote control of PXI Express systems. You can use this MXI-Express Kit to achieve up to 3.2 GB/s sustained throughput per direction. The modules incorporated in this kit only work with MXI-Express x8 copper cables. Each module in the kit has 1 port. More PXI Express Chassis can be linked if you install another PCIe-8381 in a compatible slot. By using the PXIe-8384 daisy chain interface, remote controlling a multi-chassis system through NI PXIe-PCIe8381 MXI-Express Kit is also possible.
