National Instruments R1005050 Ribbon Cable

The R1005050 (Part Numbers: 182762-0R5, 182762-01, and 182762-02) is a low-cost, unshielded ribbon cable from National Instruments. This cable has a length of 1 meter and is widely used with 100-pin National Instruments hardware, such as the NI-6527 or NI-6508. The National Instruments R1005050 is a “Y” type cable, which means it is an assembly of three connectors and two 50-pin cables. Both 50-pin cables terminate in a 100-pin single connector on one end. On the free ends, the cable has individual 50-pin connectors.

The 100-pin connector plugs into the 100-pin I/O connector provided on the NI device. The 50-pin connectors can be connected to various 50-pin National Instruments accessories. The two 50-pin connectors on this cable are IDC (insulation-displacement contact) type connectors. These 50-pin IDC connectors are made from a special plastic material to ensure safe operations in elevated operating temperatures.
