NI TRC-8543 Transceiver Cable

The TRC-8543 (Part Numbers: 142689-02L, 783701-02, and 783701-03) is a Low-Speed/Fault Tolerant, High-Speed, Flexible Data-Rate Transceiver Cable from National Instruments. This Transceiver Cable is offered in two variants: part number 783701-02 refers to the NI TRC-8543 without conformal coated connectors and the part number 783701-03 represents the NI TRC-8543 version with conformal coating. The transceiver featured by this cable is an NXP TJA1043T for the High-Speed/Flexible Data-Rate CAN layer and an NXP TJA1055T for the Low-Speed/Fault Tolerant CAN layer. This Transceiver Cable is designed to be used with a compatible NI-XNET transceiver cable host port.

The NI TRC-8543 comes with a 9-pin, D-SUB, front end male connector for CAN bus connections. This Transceiver Cable comes with dedicated pins for CAN_L (CAN LOW) and CAN_H (CAN HIGH) signals, where you can terminate the signals from the CAN bus. This Transceiver Cable draws the required power from its host port. Thus, you won’t require an additional power supply connection to power your NI TRC-8543. This Transceiver Cable consumes around 245 mW of power in LS/FT mode.
