National Instruments PC-Servo-2A 2-Axis Servo Controller

The PC-Servo-2A is a two-axis Servo Controller which can be used with the following accessories: connector cables, connector blocks, and universal motion interfaces (UMIs), and driver amplifier units. This Servo Controller was manufactured by National Instruments and belongs to the ValueMotion family of Motion Control Boards. The NI PC-Servo-2A requires a computer with an open 16-bit ISA slot for installation, along with LabWindows/CVI, ValueMotion Software, LabVIEW, or BridgeVIEW software. More than one PC-Servo board can be inserted in the host computer with separate addresses.

The National Instruments PC-Servo-2A has a maximum encoder frequency of 750 kHz. This Servo Controller has an input voltage range of 0 to 15 V. The input low voltage is 0.8 V and input high voltage is 2 V.

The NI PC-Servo-2A has an output voltage range of ± 10 V (typ) and ± 9.5 V (min), while the output current range is ± 5 mA (typ) and ± 40 mA (short-circuit). The analog output resolution is 12 bits, whereas the analog input resolution is 8 bits. This Servo Controller has a power consumption of 10.5 W.

The National Instruments PC-Servo-2A is software configurable. This Servo Controller can perform two types of configurations: bus-related and motion I/O-related configuration. The motion I/O related configuration comprises some settings such as limit switch polarity, I/O port direction, motion mechanical system variables, etc. In some cases, hardware jumpers can be configured, while most of these settings are software configurable. The NI PC-Servo-2A operates in different types of functional modes e.g. trapezoidal profile position control mode, velocity control mode, velocity profiling mode, etc.

PC-Servo-2A Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
