National Instruments PC-Step-4OX Open-Loop Stepper Controller

The PC-Step-4OX is an Open-Loop Stepper Controller from the ValueMotion Series of motion control products. The NI PC-Step-4OX is developed by National Instruments. The PC-Step-4OX functions with the ValueMotion driver software by National Instruments. The NI PC-Step-4OX can be used with application software like LabWindows, BridgeVIEW, and LabVIEW. This can be installed on Windows operating systems.

This Open-Loop Stepper Controller is used with computers with an ISA slot and is designed for stepper motor functions. The NI PC-Step-4OX board is built with four motor axes available. The PC-Step-4OX operates with fully programmable functions. This Open-Loop Stepper Controller contains additional I/O for limit and home switches, along with other types of general-purpose functions. The National Instruments PC-Step-4OX can be used in point-to-point position or velocity profiling applications as well. The NI PC-Step-4OX provides aid to control half, full, and micro-stepping applications.    

The PC-Step-4OX is manufactured with the open-loop controlling functions by the National Instruments. The NI PC-Step-4OX is used without quadrature encoders. This Open-Loop Stepper Controller can solely function in the open-loop mode. The PC-Step-4OX renders a specified position for step counts with the signed numbers. The amount of step counts for each revolution depends on the type of motor and stepper drivers. The National Instruments PC-Step-4OX functions with a maximum step frequency of 750,000 steps/s. This Stepper Controller has a 10-pin male, box-header ADC connector and a 50-pin male, box-header connector for the 24-bit digital I/O port.

PC-Step-4OX Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
