The PCI-8531 (Part number: 781060-01) is a CANopen Interface Device developed by National Instruments. The PCI-8531 is used to create an interface between devices for CANopen applications. CANopen is an advanced communication protocol built on the CAN physical layer. CANopen is mainly designed for machine control networks which are motion oriented. This CANopen Interface Device can transmit or receive PDOs and SDOs.
