National Instruments PCI-1200 Multifunction DAQ
The National Instruments PCI-1200 (Part Numbers: 777386-01 and 777097-01) is a high-performance, multifunction DAQ device designed for PCI bus computers. This device comes equipped with eight Analog Input (AI) channels that can be configured as either four differential or eight single-ended inputs with a maximum sampling rate of 100 kS/s. The PCI-1200 boasts a 12-bit successive-approximation type A/D converter (ADC), two 12-bit DACs with voltage outputs, 24 lines of TTL-compatible DIO, and three 16-bit timer/counters for timing I/O. The device has a 50 pin male I/O connector, making it a versatile choice for test and measurement applications of all sizes.
In terms of software, the features of the PCI-1200 board can be fully utilized through the use of NI-DAQ from National Instruments. This software is equipped with a comprehensive library of functions that can be called by the user from the ADE, enabling users to utilize all of the features of the Multifunction DAQ. The PCI-1200 is entirely software configurable, allocating resources such as the interrupt level and the base memory address automatically. As a result, there are no configuration steps required after booting up the system.
After a software level reset or upon power-up, the PCI-1200 DAQ Board is set to bipolar ±5 V Analog Input range and bipolar ±5 V Analog Output range. Two channels of Analog Output voltage are offered, allowing users to configure each analog output individually. As a result, users are able to configure each one of the two AO output channels of the PCI-1200 for either bipolar or unipolar output.
The power consumption of the PCI-1200 DAQ measures 425 mA at +5 VDC. Built with a slave type bus interface, the module measures 17.45 by 10.56 cm (6.87 by 4.16 in.) in physical dimensions. The recommended operating operating temperature range of the device ranges from 0 to 50 °C, while the recommended storage temperature range measures from –55 to 150 °C. For both operating and storage conditions, the recommended humidity range is 5% to 90% (noncondensing).
The PCI-1200 has been announced Obsolete by National Instruments, but it is still available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
