National Instruments PCI-5431 Video Waveform Generator

The National Instruments PCI-5431 (Part Number: 777887-01) is a 1-Channel, 12 bit Resolution Video Waveform Generator. This model is fully compatible with PAL, NTSC, and SECAM video formats. This Video Waveform Generator can handle up to 40 adjustable video parameters. The NI PCI-5431 is a low-cost solution for the generation of composite video pattern. Thus, it can be utilized in a broad range of applications including the testing of video equipment, such as video recorders, televisions, and broadcast equipment. This Video Waveform Generator is offered with a robust software toolkit for the generation of video patterns.   

With this module, it is possible to generate composite video in all three formats. The National Instruments PCI 5431 allows users to modify various video parameters, which includes: geometry parameters, timing parameters (position and rise time), level parameters (sync amplitude, brightness, or contrast) and dynamic parameters (option addition of distortion and noise).

This Video Waveform Generator comes with >60 dB dynamic range, 75 Ω output impedance, and DC to 8 MHz frequency response. The NI PCI 5431 comes equipped with an internal, 40 MHz update clock. For external reference sources, this model has a front panel SMB type PLL IN connector, as well as an RTSI clock line. The NI PCI-5431 comes equipped with an internal, 40 MHz update clock. This Video Waveform Generator comes equipped with a Half-band interpolating type, a software switchable filter with 67 taps, 20-bit (fixed) filter coefficients, and two interpolation data interpolating frequencies.  

PCI-5431 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
