The LV-222-555-442 PXI Avionics Multiprotocol Interface Module offers a completely modular infrastructure– a feature that makes it ideal for users who have dynamic demands or are looking to invest in expanding the capabilities of their device in the future. You can always replace any one of the two existing interface modules used in this module with a different module as per your requirements. The base card or the carrier module, however, will remain the same.

This PXI Avionics Multiprotocol Interface Module has 16 ARINC 429 channels and 2 MIL-STD-1553 channels. The two MIL-STD-1553 channels on this module are multifunction. Thus, you can configure any MIL-STD-1553 channel of this module to operate as a remote terminal, bus controller, or monitor simultaneously. This PXI Avionics Multiprotocol Interface Module comes with an integrated binary system timer as well. The binary system timer remains in operation freely until it is synchronized to an IRIG system or set by software.

The LV-222-555-442 comes with an IRIG circuit that can be configured as a slave or a master. While operating as a slave, the IRIG timer will lock to an externally generated IRIG signal. This PXI Avionics Multiprotocol Interface Module comes with 16 bidirectional discrete I/O total. Each one of the cores has 8 bidirectional discrete I/O.
