National Instruments PXI-1020 PXI Chassis

The National Instruments PXI-1020 is a CompactPCI (PICMG 2.0 R 2.1) and PXI module compatible, benchtop 8-Slot PXI Chassis. This model is designed to offer 300 Watts of useable power and 150 Watts for DC-capable supply. This PXI Chassis is a flexible instrument platform and comes featured with a pointing device, CD-ROM drive, and an integrated, 6.4 inch 640 × 480 VGA color LCD that is utilized through eight PXI slots, as well as interconnections on a PXI controller. In addition, the user can utilize a super VGA display and an external mouse through the controller front panel.

The National Instruments NI PXI-1020 comes featured with auto-frequency and auto-voltage ranging and can be operated through universal AC input. This PXI Chassis comes equipped with a backplane that fully implements all triggering and timing extensions defined in the PXI specs for high-performance applications. The PXI-1020 backplane has interoperable compatibility; thus, it is interoperable with standard CompactPCI products and PXI-compatible products.

As defined by the PXI specs, the system controller of this PXI Chassis is located in slot 1. There are also 3 controller expansion slots which can be utilized for wider than one slot system controller modules. The National Instruments PXI 1020 offers seven peripheral slots (with ST slot included). The AC power supply of this chassis can be operated over 47 to 63 Hz input frequency range. There is a 10 Ampere circuit breaker provided as well for over-current protection. The backplane of the NI PXI-1020 is 3U-sized with one system slot.

PXI-1020 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
