National Instruments PXI-1045 PXI Chassis

The National Instruments PXI-1045 (Part Numbers: 778645-01, 778644-01, 778644-02) is a high performance 18-slot Chassis intended for an extensive variety of applications, including automated testing, numerous-device synchronization, and other types of systems with a high-channel-count. Part number 778644-01 is a rack mounting kit for the front of the chassis, while part number 778645-02 is a rack mounting kit designed for the rear of the chassis. By automatically designing the trigger routing modules on the chassis backplane, triggers can be directed between gadgets easily. This CompactPCI-compatible Chassis includes a low-jitter 10 MHz reference clock for gadget synchronization. The device has a maximum system bandwidth of 132 MB per second. For importing or exporting framework reference clocks, the NI PXI-1045 incorporates two BNC I/O connectors on the back of the chassis.

A low-jitter 10 MHz framework reference clock is provided to every peripheral slot of the PXI-1045 Chassis. The user can utilize the interior framework reference clock, with a skew of under 250 ps between slots to synchronize different gadgets and perform one of a kind phase connected estimations. The PXI-1045 Chassis operates on the NI PXI chassis software. The software can be configured with the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. This software configuration tool allows the user to configure PXI systems with ease because it is not necessary to manually install initialization files. MAX enables users to save PXI trigger lines on the chassis backplane, therefore stopping devices from double-driving trigger lines. The device has a 10MHz REF IN and OUT BNC connector.

The PXI 1045 has three fans which offer 25 W cooling capacity in every slot when set to low or 24 W when the fan speed is on high. The NI PXI-1045 highlights an AUTO/HIGH fan-speed selector that gives a HIGH fan setting to amplify cooling and an AUTO fan setting to limit acoustic discharges. When it is set to AUTO, the PXI-1045 Chassis screens air consumption temperature and changes fan speed. This PXI Chassis also has an AC power supply, which can be replaced with NI part number 778647-01. The device weighs 27.8 lb and has the dimensions 6.97 x 17.54 x 17.12 in.
