National Instruments PI-1052 PXI Chassis

The PXI-1052 Chassis (Part Number: 778693-01, 778931-01, 778931-02) has all the advantages of SCXI and the PXI platform in one model. This Chassis is the answer for users looking for a model for signal conditioning, multiplexing, and switching in many types of test and measurement applications. There are 4 PXI slots and 8 SCXI slots available. The NI-PXI-1052 Chassis controls the fan-speed of the power supply and module fans, which decreases acoustic emissions. The NI PXI-1052 also has an AUTO/HIGH fan-speed selector switch. When this switch is on AUTO, the Chassis improves both cooling and acoustic emissions based on the air intake temperature.

If the PXI 1052 is being used for the benchtop, there are supporting feet that can be tilted up with little effort. The feet can be set to level the Chassis with the benchtop or they can be taken off. There are mounting points on every side of the PXI-1052 Chassis, which allow the user to connect optional rack-mount kits. They can additionally be utilized to place the model in an instrument cabinet. This Chassis is ideal for portable applications since it comes with a built-in carrying handle, ensuring that transportation goes as seamlessly as possible. There is also an SCXI high-voltage analog back plane built in. None of the aforementioned configurations require accessing the inside of the Chassis. The device has a maximum usable power of 450 W, and an input frequency of 50/60 Hz. The NI PXI-1052 operates using the NI-DAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Measurement Studio. The hardware can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. The device is equipped with a 9-pin D-SUB connector.

The NI-PXI-1052 Chassis has a universal input, making it simple for many users to utilize. This model can be used with a front or back rack-mount kit; both rack-mount kits are created for a 19 inch rack. The device weighs 29 lbs., and measures 16.2 x 17.3 x 7.0 in. in physical dimensions.

PXI-1052 End of Life Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
