National Instruments PXIe-1078 PXI Chassis

The NI PXIe-1078 (Part Numbers: 763068-01, 781622-01, 781482-01, 781634-01, 763000-01, 199485F-01L) is a low-cost, 9-slot, AC Chassis that features a 4-slot wide system controller slot that accepts an embedded controller, remote controller, and has 8 peripheral slots. The PXIe-1078 Chassis provides users with the flexibility to combine the operations of both PXI and PXI Express modules. This model features three PXI Express slots and five PXI hybrid slots. The PXI hybrid-compatible slots can work with PXI Express modules or standard PXI modules.

The National Instruments PXIe-1078 has a backplane which routes 3 PCI Express links of the system slot to peripheral slots at 250 MB/s single direction per link. The backplane also features one x1 PCIe link to a PCIe to PCI translation bridge. The PXI Express hybrid slots deliver connectivity to a x1 PCI Express link, and to the 32-bit, 33 MHz PCI bus for PXI Express modules and PXI hybrid compatible modules, respectively.
