National Instruments PXIe-1082DC PXI Chassis

The National Instruments NI PXIe-1082DC (Part Number: 782946-01) Chassis features a high-bandwidth backplane and accepts PXI Express modules in every slot and supports standard PXI hybrid-compatible modules in as many as 4 slots. The Chassis is one out of the two NI PXIe-1082 options, which supports DC inputs from 11 V to 32 V.

The NI PXIe 1082 DC Chassis combines a high-performance 8-slot PXI Express backplane with a high-output power supply and a structural design that has been optimized for maximum usability in a wide range of applications. The Chassis has a low mean time to repair (MTTR) as its modular design ensures a high level of maintainability.

This model comes equipped with a remote power-inhibit control and variable speed fan controller that optimizes cooling and acoustic emissions. Its 38 W per slot cooling meets increased PXIe cooling requirements.  The PXIe-1082DC power supply, temperature, and fan monitoring features are highly reliable, as the device is HALT tested for increased reliability.  It has quiet operation for 0 to 30 °C at 48.7 dBA. One of the key features of this model is a low-jitter internal 10 MHz/100 MHz reference clock for PXI/ PXIe slots with ± 25 ppm stability, respectively.

The Chassis operates on an extended temperature range of up to 55 °C for applications in demanding environments. All the features of the latest PXI specifications, including support for both PXI and PXI Express modules, and built-in timing and synchronization features are combined into this chassis.
