National Instruments PXIe-1090 2-Slot PXI Express Chassis

The PXIe-1090 2-Slot PXI Express Chassis (Part Number: 787040-01) is a highly reliable, flexible, and functional 2-Slot 3U chassis house module. The PXIe-1090 offers connection to a high-performance backplane, timing capabilities, and synchronization abilities. PXIe-1090 is compatible with the followin­­g modules: PXI, PXI Express, and PXI hybrid modules. The PXIe-1090 offer a greater ability to satisfy the cooling needs of even the most power-demanding PXI modules.

The PXIe-1090 2-Slot PXI Express Chassis has multiple alternatives with 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 18 available slots. Available slots are hybrid to increase module compatibility and extend compatibility to PXI, PXI Express, CompactPCi, and CompactPCI Express. 

The PXIe-1090 system offers the following features: 24 gigabyte/sec system, 8 gigabyte/sec bandwidth per available slot, 82 W of power per available slot, cooling, 100 - 240V 50/60Hz power, maximum availability alternatives, 58 W slot cooling capacity, several power supplies, and multiple fans for optimized cooling and system performance. The PXIe-1090 2-Slot PXI Express Chassis comes with optional rubber feet. 

The PXIe-1090 2-Slot PXI Express Chassis is a temperature sensitive device that must operate in environments in which temperature is between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. The PXIe-1090 features forced air circulation via positive pressurization through two onboard 42 CFM fans that cool through the middle of the module from the bottom to the top of the unit. The PXIe-1090 module air intake in through the right or bottom of the module and the exhaust is through the left side or bottom of the module. The PXIe-1090 is also shock and vibration sensitive both during operation and non-operation. 

To setup the PXIe-1090 2-Slot PXI Express Chassis, users will require the PXIe-1090 chassis, PXI compatible filler panels, PXI platform services software, chassis labels, and a power cable. The PXIe-1090 allows operators to expand PXI systems through additional compact and express peripheral products.
