National Instruments PXIe-8101 PXI Controller

Featured with an Intel Celeron Processor and standard I/O, the NI PXIe-8101 (Part Numbers: 781182-00, 781182-01, and 781182-02) is an Embedded Computer for PXI Express. This PXI Controller supports a variety of I/O functions that are generally found in standard desktop computers. With this PXI Controller, you can achieve connectivity through Ethernet, USB, and a serial bus. The PXIe-8101 is known for its compact design because it is produced in a 3U-size form factor. This modular computer is designed for PXI Express systems. Thus, it brings various additional benefits that are not offered by older PXI based controllers. The combination of this controller and a PXI Express-compatible Chassis is a perfect solution for various control and automation applications. 

This PXI Controller comes with 1 DVI-I connector that can be used to attach an external monitor with the system. Moreover, you can attach various peripherals with your PXIe-8101 through the universal serial bus, including (but not limited to), pointing devices, input devices, printers, plotters, etc. The NI PXIe-8101 contains numerous logic blocks. These logic blocks reside on the CPU module. Each block performs tasks assigned to it while communicating with one, two, or several other logic blocks. For RAM or random-access memory, the PXIe-8101 features 1 DDR2 SDRAM socket, which has the capability to hold a maximum of 4 gigabytes of memory. For better graphics performance, this PXI Controller comes with a graphics chipset from Intel. The graphics chipset connects to the SDRAM, CPU, and DVI-I. The NI PXIe-8101 has a watchdog timer block as well. 

PXIe-8101 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the PXI Controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
