National Instruments PXIe-8881 PXI Controller

The PXIe-8881 PXI Controller (Part Numbers: 787807-01, 786636-01, 787805-01, 787805-33, 787806-01)  is a PXI Express or Compact compatible system controller boasting high-performance, integration of standard input/output features, and user configurable settings. 

With the PXIe-8881 PXI Controller, the PXI Expressor Compatible chassis configurations produce a completely PC-compatible computer. The PXIe-8881 PXI Controller offers the following features: Intel Xeon Processor (comes in 4-, 8-, or 18-core options), integrated hard drive with 512 GB of memory, standard and peripheral I/O, 24 GB/s maximum controller bandwidth, 500 gigabyte M.2 NVMe solid state drive. The PXIe-8881 PXI Controller’s standard I/O possesses the following features: DisplayPort, RS-232 serial port, high speed USB ports, multiple ethernet ports, Thunderbolt ports, GPIB, SMB trigger connectors, and device reset button. The PXIe-8881 embedded controller operates Windows 10 applications and interacts with PCIe instruments. Depending upon the type of PXIe-8881 PXI Controller obtained (4, 8, or 18 core), the base frequency, max turbo frequency, cache, and Quad Channel DD4-2666 base will vary. The PXIe-8881 is sensitive to environmental conditions (altitude, ambient air temperature, relative humidity, operating shock, and vibration both during times of operation and times of storage. 

The PXIe-8881 PXI Controller can be configured by users using the BIOS setup program. BIOS is a hardware to operating system software interface that enables configuration and testing of hardware upon system booting. The PXIe-8881 controller features can be configured, enabled, and altered through the BIOS setup program. However, the PXIe-8881 PXI Controller comes with versatile control features that will be satisfactory for the majority of users. Thus, the BIO setup environment may not be required for all applications.
