National Instruments PXIe-6593 PXI High-Speed Serial Instrument

Featured with FPGA transceivers and 8 channels, the NI PXIe-6593 (Part Numbers: 785977-01, 785976-01) is a Serial Instrument from National Instruments. This instrument is designed for those who need to interface through, test, and validate serial protocols. The PXIe-6593 features a powerful Xilinx Kintex FPGA to implement and handle numerous high-speed serial protocols- either KU060 (part number 785977-01) or KU040 (part number 785976-01). This PXI High-Speed Serial Instrument is superior to most of its counterparts, since it is programmable in LabVIEW FPGA. Thus, with this instrument, you can achieve the maximum possible application-specific customization.

The NI PXIe-6593 has the advantage of multi-gigabit transceivers for as many as eight RX and TX lines. This High-Speed Serial Instrument comes with 4 gigabytes of RAM (2 x 2 GB banks). The digital I/O connector incorporated in this instrument is a Molex Nano-Pitch I/O™ connector. The NI PXIe-6593 comes with eight single-ended digital I/O channels that support various voltages between 1.2 V and 3.3 V. The input impedance of the digital I/O channels remains around 100 kΩ, whereas the output impedance remains around 50 kΩ. This instrument has a CLK OUT SMA connector as well. The CLK OUT connector supports AC coupling and operates with an output impedance of 50 Ω. 

The National Instruments PXIe-6593 PXI High-Speed Serial Instrument is designed in the PCI Express Gen-3 x8 form factor. This instrument requires around 3 amperes of current at +3.3 V, while operating in the standard configuration. The maximum total power of the NI PXIe-6593 is 58 watts. This Serial Instrument allows you to control direction per channel. The minimum required time to change a channel’s direction is 200 ns.
