National Instruments PXIe-5694 PXI IF Conditioning Module 

The National Instruments PXIe-5694 is an IF Conditioning Module for PXI systems. This module comes equipped with 5 analog filters and is considered an ideal solution for various spectrum monitoring applications. This module works well in applications where the frequency of the measurement signal and interfering signals exist in close proximity of one another. This module offers various analog filters– a feature that helps you achieve the required selectivity and measurement speed. The availability of these analog-filters prevents the ADC converters of the digitizer from overloading. Thus, the NI PXIe-5694 increases the probability of intercept and helps in the prompt resolution of the low-power signals. 

The National Instruments PXIe-5694 PXI IF Conditioning Module provides three signal paths, including signal conditioning downconversion, enabled/disabled paths, and an IF conditioning bypass path. The front panel IF connector of this module is an SMA female connector that operates with 50-ohm reference impedance. Similarly, the IF output connector of this module is provided on the front panel and is an SMA female connector as well. 

The NI PXIe-5694 is a PXI Express module, which requires a 3U size slot for deployment and requires around 1.31 amperes of current, while operating at 3.3 V. The five analog filters incorporated in this module are 5 and 20 MHz LC discrete component filters, 400 and 110 kHz SAW filters, and a 1.4 MHz surface acoustic wave filter. Thus, the user can select the bandpass filter as per their requirement and application needs.  

PXIe-5694 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the PXI IF Conditioning Module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
