National Instruments PXIe-5641 PXI IF Transceiver

Featured with 2 inputs and 2 outputs, the NI PXIe-5641 (Part Number: 780710-01) is a PXI IF Transceiver from National Instruments. This dual-input and dual-output IF Transceiver is considered an ideal solution for a broad range of applications, such as real-time spectrum analysis, spectral monitoring, and software-defined radio. The PXIe-5641 is designed to handle high-speed and complex analysis, processing, and modulation tasks. The NI PXIe-5641 IF Transceiver comes with 14-bit input channels and integrated digital downconversion. Similarly, its two 14-bit digital output channels have built-in upconversion. 

This IF Transceiver requires only one PXI-compatible slot. The DIO connector provided comes with a +5 V supply pin. You can use this supply pin to energize any external circuitry. However, the output current on this +5 V supply pin remains limited electronically. Within 10 microseconds, the system will shut down the +5 V supply if an excess current flow is detected. Afterward, the system will attempt to restore the +5 V supply to the external circuitry at an interval of 5 seconds.

The National Instruments PXIe-5641 PXI IF Transceiver comes equipped with an internal temperature sensor. This sensor monitors the operating temperature of the device and can shut down if it detects abnormal conditions. This intermediate frequency transceiver is an efficient device, since it requires only ten minutes for a complete warm-up. The inputs and outputs of this model operate in AC-coupled mode.

PXIe-5641 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the PXI IF Transceiver will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
