National Instruments PXIe-2738 PXI Matrix Switch Module

The National Instruments PXIe-2738 (Part Number: 782835-38) is an 8 x 32, 2-wire high-density Matrix Switch Module that routes signals with bandwidths up to 10 MHz within automated test systems, using electromechanical relays to perform immediate switch operations. The NI PXIe-2738 is designed for applications and functions that enable the monitoring of deployed systems.  This Matrix Switch Module features onboard relay count tracking, a temperature sensor, functional and resistive relay self-tests, and a range of advanced features that provide a smarter way to tackle applications used in defense, aerospace, and electronics industries.

The PXIe-273x Matrix Switch Modules are designed to provide maximum versatility for switching systems by allowing a channel-to-channel connection, using electromechanical armature relays, field-effect transistor (FET) relays, reed relays, and solid-state relays, offering users the ability to choose a matrix that ideally suits their specific requirements.

This module has a maximum switching voltage of 100 V (channel-to-channel) and 100 V, CAT O (channel-to-ground). It is designed to carry signal voltages less than 70 V_rms, 100 V_pk, or 100 VDC, and can withstand up to 500 V impulse voltage.

The driver software for this module is the IVI-compliant NI-SWITCH software, which allows the user to program the module. Ni-SWITCH comes with example programs and helpful documents.
