National Instruments PXI-7813 PXI Digital Reconfigurable I/O Module

The PXI-7813 (Part number: 779362-01) is a PXI Digital Reconfigurable I/O Module by National Instruments. This device can configure digital channels, along with counters/timers and communication protocols for PXI-based systems. The NI PXI-7813 incorporates a programmable FPGA for processing and configuration functions. This device offers a flexible solution for configuration requirements. The PXI-7813 can independently program different digital channels. This model can also control the timing and synchronization of all channels.

The PXI-7813 Digital Reconfigurable I/O Module features 160 digital I/O channels. These channels are TTL compatible and bidirectional. The supported I/O logic levels for the digital channels of the NI PXI-7813 are 3.3 volts and 5 volts. The output current is 04 mA. This device is protected against an input overvoltage range of -0.5 volts to 7 volts.

The PXI-7813 is equipped with a reconfigurable FPGA. The FPGA is a Virtex-II V3000 with 28,672 Flip-Flops. This device only supports the onboard clock, which has a maximum frequency of 40 MHz. The NI PXI-7813 supports the PXI bus connector. Three DMA channels are available in the PXI-7813 for data transfer. The NI PXI-7813 is additionally equipped with four 68-pin connectors for different connections. The connector type is VHDCI female.

The PXI-7813 Digital Reconfigurable I/O Module is suitable for a broad range of applications, which includes high-speed signal generation and custom communication protocols. This device is also used in sensor simulation, precise timing and control applications, as well as HIL test and bit error rate testing.
