National Instruments PXI-7954R PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO

The NI PXI-7954R (Part Number: 780563-01) has 66 differential general purpose I/O pairs which can be configured as 132 single-ended signals. This FPGA Module for FlexRIO also has a Virtex-5 LX110 FPGA, two separate 64 MB banks of onboard DRAM, and a maximum of 400 Mb/s single-ended configuration rates. This module and other PXI FPGA Modules for FlexRIO are suited for systems that necessitate synchronization, high-performance information streaming, high channel density, and processing.

The National Instruments PXI-7954R FPGA Module for FlexRIO can be used with the following operating systems: Windows XP Pro x32 Service Pack 1 or 2, Windows 7, or Windows Vista. Other required components to operate the module include a compatible chassis and controller, a minimum of one cable to link signals to the FlexRIO device, LabVIEW, NI FlexRIO Adapter Module Support, the NI-RIO driver, and the LabVIEW FPGA Module. The LabVIEW Real-Time Module is optional. It is also important to note that the adapter module will not show up in MAX, only FPGA modules will appear in MAX.

The NI PXI-7954R FlexRIO FPGA Module must be utilized with a FlexRIO Adapter Module if the user is using their FlexRIO system for signal input/output. However, the PXI 7954R module can be utilized without a FlexRIO Adapter Module if it is being used for peer-to-peer streaming or coprocessing.
