National Instruments PXIe-7868 PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module
Featured with a Kintex-7 325T FPGA, the National Instruments PXIe-7868 (Part Numbers: PXIe-7868R and 785571-01) is an 18-Channel AO Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module. This model offers 1 MS/s sampling rate and has a field programmable gate array (FPGA) which is completely user-programmable. The addition of an FPGA brings an onboard processing capability and enables this Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module to control I/O signals directly. The National Instruments PXIe-7868 has six Analog Inputs, 18 Analog Outputs, and 48 Digital Inputs/Outputs. This module comes equipped with 512 MB DRAM. For synchronous source acquisitions, this module can receive the EXTCLKIN - external clock input source signal as well.
This module provides connections for as many as 18 analog output channels. Each AO channel comes with an AOGND pin and AO pin to which the user can connect a load. As far as its digital I/O are concerned, the NI PXIe-7868 provides connections for as many as 48 digital input/output channels through two connectors. The digital I/O Connector-0 facilitates 16 low-speed channels (for up to 10 MHz signal frequencies), whereas the digital I/O connector-1 offers 32 high-speed channels (for up to 80 MHz signal frequencies). All the DIO channels contained by Connector 1 are routed with 50 Ω trace impedance.
The NI PXIe 7868 offers adequate protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent conditions on all lines. With this module, the user will be able to have a desired power-on state configured for any line. The two digital I/O connectors incorporated in the NI PXIe-7868 are LVTTL, LVCMOS compatible and they come with a fixed 3.3 V logic family.
