National Instruments PXIe-7961R PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO

The PXIe-7961R (Part Number: 781205-01) is a reconfigurable, FPGA module for FlexRIO systems. This module features an integrated Virtex-5 SX50T FPGA and 132 I/O (SE) lines. You can configure these I/O lines to operate as differential pairs as well. This module is designed to work in conjunction with FlexRIO Adapter Modules. The FPGA integrated into this module has 4752 kilobits of RAM. 

This module also supports P2P or peer-to-peer streaming, which is state-of-the-art technology for data sharing between many FPGA or PXIe modules directly, without overloading the host processor. P2P streaming enables you to design and operate a system for computationally extensive FPGA algorithms. The NI PXIe-7961R comes equipped with 16 DMA (direct memory access) channels. The connection resource for this FPGA module includes PXIe_Sync100, PXIe_DStarC, PXIe_DStarA, etc. This module comes with an internal timebase. However, you can also configure it to operate with an external timebase reference such as PXIe_CLK100.

PXIe-7961R Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
