National Instruments PXIe-7966R PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO

Designed to support peer-to-peer (P2P) streaming, the PXIe-7966R (Part Number: 781805-01) is a PXIe module. This module comes with an integrated SX95T FPGA (Virtex-5). The NI P2P technology utilizes the PXIe to enable point-to-point, direct transfer between two or more than two instruments without putting any additional stress on the host memory or processor. The reconfigurable FPGA of the NI PXIe-7966R has 58,880 Flip-Flops (LUTs), 640 DSP48 Slices, and 8,784 kbits embedded BRAM (block RAM).

This PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO supports a PXIe 100 MHz timebase reference source and has a default 40 MHz internal timebase as well. With this module, you will be able to operate in either DMA, programmed, or interrupts data transfer mode. The National Instruments PXIe-7966R features 2 DRAM banks; each bank comes with 256 MB of memory to provide you with a maximum theoretical transmission rate of 1.6 gigabytes per bank. This module is designed to work with all types of PXIe slots.

PXIe-7966R Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
