National Instruments REM-11120 Temperature Input Module for Remote I/O

The National Instruments REM-11120 (Part Number: 784750-01) is a 1-Chanel Voltage and 4-Channel Thermocouple, Temperature Input Module. This module is designed for remote I/O systems. A remote I/O system can contain multiple kinds of input modules and can prove to be an effective and cost-effective alternative to expensive controllers. You can construct your own remote I/O system using a single module or multiple modules coupled to an EtherCAT bus. The EtherCAT technology provides stable and efficient connectivity between the remote I/O and controller over Ethernet. 

The 4 thermocouple channels can receive inputs within a range of -100 mV to +100 mV. The voltage input channel has a range of ±5V. The NI REM-11120 supports various types of thermocouples, including U, T, L, E, N, K, W, HK, S, B, R, and C. You can easily connect thermocouples with the National Instruments REM-11120 Temperature Input Module without using any special tools, since it comes with spring-terminal connectors. This Temperature Input Module also supports PT100 RTD measurements.

The NI REM-11120 Temperature Input Module can be deployed in a variety of environments because the temperature range is -25 °C to 60 °C. The A/D converter is a 24-bit, Sigma/Delta analog-to-digital converter. The analog measurements received by the REM-11120 are converted to digital signals before being transmitted to the control system via Ethernet. Thus, the National Instruments REM-11120 Temperature Input Module can easily be integrated into higher-level control systems, including distributed control systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
