National Instruments RMX-4006 Electronic Load Device

The National Instruments RMX-4006 (Part Number: 786532-01) is a 350 W Electronic Load Device. This device can operate with a measure current of 0 A to 10 A and a voltage range of 0 V to 500 V. The NI RMX-4006 is designed to assist the user in power supply designing and functionality validation in a production environment. To achieve higher capabilities and to increase voltage and current range, you can operate multiple RMX-4006 devices in a parallel configuration. It is important to understand that the RMX-4006 is a load module that can be deployed in an RMX-400X Series Mainframe. There are two mainframes included in this series: the RMX-4000 and the RMX-4002. Both mainframes are similar in construction and other capabilities, but different in terms of load module accommodation capacity. The RMX-4000 comes with two load module slots, whereas the RMX-4002 can accommodate as many as four load modules.

The National Instruments RMX-4006 is a 1-channel Electronic Load Device, which can operate over a power range of 35 watts to 350 watts. This device has various operating modes. Each one of these modes is user configurable. In constant current mode, the RMX-4006 provides a constant amount of sinking current without controlling the voltage. In constant voltage mode, this device operates at a fixed voltage and the current remains uncontrolled. Similarly, the NI RMX-4006 can be operated in Constant Power and Constant Resistance mode as well.
