National Instruments PXI-7030/6030E Multifunction I/O Board

The National Instruments PXI-7030/6030E (Part Number: 777837-02) is a 16-Bit Multifunction I/O Board from the RT Series. This card comes with an embedded processor that provides reliable and high-performance data acquisition. The NI PXI-7030/6030E requires two PXI slots and contains two components: an I/O daughter board (6030E) and a processor board (7030). This model can acquire samples at the rate of 100 kS/s, has two Analog Outputs, and an input range from ±0.1 to ±10 V. This Multifunction I/O Board can generate outputs at a rate of 100 kS/s, has an output range of ±10 V, and comes equipped with two 24-bit counters/timers.

The National Instruments PXI-7030/6030E features an AMD 486DX5 32-bit architecture processor with 133 MHz processor clock speed, 33 MHz CPU bus speed, 32 MB EDO RAM, 16 KB write-back on-chip cache, 256 KB write-back L2 cache, and a floating-point unit. This board allows the user to incorporate a safety shutdown mechanism within a measurement system. As far as its physical characteristics are concerned, the dimensions of this board are 16 cm by 10 cm. The NI PXI-7030/6030E consumes 3.5 A (typical), while operating at +5 VDC (±5%).

This device offers deterministic communication with the host computer and is fully programmable with a LabVIEW Real-Time Module. For host-embedded communication, the NI PXI-7030/6030E comes with SRAM type, 1 KB shared memory. This model fully supports analog and digital triggering as well. With this I/O board, the user will be able to add NI SCXI or SCC products for expanded signal conditioning and channel count solutions.
