National Instruments PXI-7030/6533 Multifunction I/O Device

The National Instruments PXI-7030/6533 is a High-Speed Digital I/O Device (Part Number: 777837-03) from the RT Series that contain a processor board (NI 7030) and a daughter device (NI 6533). The processor board of this device comes equipped with a 133 MHz AMD 486 DX5 (32-bit architecture) microprocessor that executes embedded, Real-Time LabVIEW RT applications. The support circuitry of the 7030 processor board includes an ISA bridge and a chipset with PCI controller, 256 KB write-back L2 cache (SRAM), 32 MB main memory (DRAM) and BIOS.

The processor board of the NI PXI-7030/6533 also holds the shared memory that communicates between the embedded processor and the host system. However, the daughterboard provided in this system offers the DAQ functionality. This model offers 32 Digital I/O, up to 1.8 Mbytes/s (pattern I/O), and up to 2.0 Mbytes/s (handshaking I/O) transfer rates. The range is 5 V/TTL and +4.65 to +5.25 VDC, 1 A available power at I/O connector. With this device, the user will be able to get any of their real-time routine integrated with a Windows-based measurement system. Thus, the National Instruments PXI-7030/6533 gives the user the power to combine real-time control tasks within an established measurement system.

This Multifunction DAQ Device requires 2 PXI slots for operation and has physical dimensions of 16 x 10 cm. The daughterboard (NI-6533) incorporated in this device is entirely software configurable as the system software allocates all device resources, including interrupt level and base memory address automatically. For precise synchronization of functions, the user can utilize the RTSI bus to connect DAQ devices directly. 

PXI-7030/6533 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the device will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
