National Instruments SC-2040 Simultaneous Sample-and-Hold Accessory 

The SC-2040 is an eight-channel sample and hold accessory board. The SC-2040 is created by National Instruments. The NI SC-2040 comes from the family of SC Series boards. The NI SC-2040 is available with the part number 776937-01. The NI SC-2040 is compatible with the NI-DAQ driver software and Windows 2000/NT/XP/Me/9x operating systems. This accessory does not come with software, but can be programmed with LabVIEW, register-level programming software, or LabWindows. A 1.0, 2.0, 5.0, or 10.0 m SH6868 or R6868 cable is also required to use this accessory.

The NI SC-2040 is a simultaneously sampling differential amplifier designed for use with the MIO-16E Series Data Acquisition Boards by National Instruments. This accessory is built with 8 channels. The SC-2040 contains a track-and-hold amplifier for every channel, as well as a DIP-switch-selectable gain per channel. The track-and-hold amplifiers sample the inputs simultaneously. This feature is helpful for maintaining interchannel phase relationships. The NI MIO-16E Series DAQ Board can trigger the track-and-hold amplifiers or the user can provide an external trigger.

The NI SC-2040 is a circuit board assembly that can be placed on a workbench or mounted in a 19-inch rack. The NI SC-2040 can be configured to take power from the MIO-16E board. This accessory can also be powered by a +5 V external supply. A red LED shows when the board is on. Input signal leads are linked to the screw terminals.

SC-2040 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the accessory will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
