National Instruments SC-2043-SG Strain Gauge Accessory

The SC-2043-SG is a Strain Gauge Accessory created by National Instruments. The NI SC-2043-SG is manufactured with the part number 777096-01. This part number can be used for ordering the accessory. The SC-2043-SG is used with Mac as well as Windows operating systems. For Windows operating systems, the National Instruments SC-2043-SG uses LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI to install application programs. For Macintosh operating systems, the NI SC-2043-SG can be utilized with LabVIEW for operating initial programs. NI-DAQ driver software is required for this accessory as well.

The NI SC-2043-SG is built with 8 channels. Every channel contains half-bridge completion with jumper deactivation for full-bridge connections. The channels also have sockets for quarter-bridge completion resistors, offset nulling circuit, as well as screw terminal connections for strain gauge bridge measurements. The SC-2043-SG is fabricated for interfacing with DAQ boards by National Instruments. The conditioned strain gauge signals are transported to the eight analog input channels on the NI DAQ board. This accessory has an amplifier gain of 10 and a buffered single pole 1.6 kHz filter.

The NI SC-2043-SG has an excitation voltage source and screw terminal connections for optional external excitations that are shared among all channels. The SC-2043-SG is configured with extra breakout screw terminals for easy signal termination of extra analog inputs/outputs, and digital and timing input/output lines on the interfacing connector of the DAQ board.

SC-2043-SG Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the accessory will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
