National Instruments SC-2050 Cable Adapter

Designed for adaption with various Data Acquisition Devices to different conditioning accessories, the SC-2050 (Part Number: 776335-90) is a Cable Adapter from National Instruments. This model can assist you in designing a better data acquisition system with minimum signal distortion and losses. The NI SC-2050 is considered an ideal solution in scenarios where perfectly precise measurements are required. This Cable Adapter can easily be deployed on any type of surface as it comes with metallic standoffs. However, a mounting rack is also available and can be acquired separately.

This Cable Adapter is compatible with many data acquisition and signal conditioning devices. Without a cable adapter, a certain loss in the strength and the quality of signals cannot be avoided. On the other hand, much better results are possible when a signal adapter is used between the loop. This cable adapter is designed for E Series connectors. With this model, you can have E connector signals converted to standard pin connections. The DAQPad-MIO-16XE-50, PCI-6031E, and AT-MIO-16E-10 are the names of a few devices compatible with the NI SC-2050, and can be connected using a 100-pin R1005050 cable.

This adapter has two 50-pin ribbon cable connectors and three 26-pin ribbon cable connectors. The analog ports incorporated in this device can be used with 5B Series conditioning modules, which come with pin connections. The digital ports featured in this model are compatible with 8-channel solid-state relay boards from the SSR Series and digital signal conditioners form the SC-206X Series.

The SC-2050 requires the following devices to be used: a SC-2050 adapter, the SC-2050 series user manual, a DAQ device, a computer, and a cable to connect the SC-2050 board to the DAQ device (a SH6850 or PSHR68-50 cable would suffice).

The NI device measures 5.2 x 4.9 x 1.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0° to 70° C and –55° to 150° C respectively, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5% to 90%.

SC-2050 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the cable adapter will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
