National Instruments SC-2051 Cable Adapter

The NI SC-2051 (Part Number: 776335-91) is a signal conversion accessory from National Instruments. This Cable Adapter can be used to convert 24 digital input/output signals to standard pin connections. You can use this adapter with NI-6503 and DIO-24 devices. Moreover, the SC-2051 can also be used with MIO devices, which come with up to 24 additional digital channels.

You can connect your NI SC-2051 via an NB1 cable to a 50-pin DAQ board. For MIO devices, you can use an NB5 cable. This signal converter comes with two 50-pin ribbon cable connectors. Either one of these connectors can be employed for building a connection between the DAQ device and the SC-2051 via cable. The second 50-pin connector can be used to connect to other accessories. This daisy-chaining provision enables you to achieve a broad range of hardware configurations. Thus, the NI SC-2051 can be considered in a variety of scenarios.

The National Instruments SC-2051 Cable Adapter has three 26-pin connectors as well. You can use these connectors with various signal conditioning accessories. The digital ports incorporated in this device are compatible with SSR Series 8-channel solid-state relay boards, as well as with the digital signal conditioners from the SC-206X Series. The NI SC-2051 comes equipped with metallic standoffs. Thus, it can be easily positioned on the desk near the host computer. Moreover, a rack-mount kit is also offered by National Instruments for this device and can be obtained separately. This Cable Adapter comes with a dedicated jumper that you can set to ground the adapter to the chassis.  

SC-2051 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the cable adapter will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
