National Instruments SC-2053 Cable Adapter

The SC-2053 is a Cable Adapter manufactured by National Instruments. The NI SC-2053 Cable Adapter is used for the conversion of Lab/1200 Series boards’ input/output connector signals to the universally standardized pin connections for accessories of signal conditioning. The SC-2053 has two 50-pin male I/O connectors and four 26-pin male I/O connectors. The National Instruments SC-2053 Cable Adapter does not have any screw terminals. The user can utilize these connectors to connect to DAQ devices by using a 0.5 m or 1.00 m type NB1 National Instruments cable.

The signal conditioning accessories for different series can be interfaced with the NI SC-2053 Cable Adapter. DAQ devices by National Instruments which can be utilized with the SC-2053 is Lab/1200 includes Lab-PCP1200/AI, PCI-1200, DAQPad-1200, and DAQCard-1200. The configuration of the SC-2053 for signal conditioners is extremely simple. The NI SC-2053 can process different kinds of signals, such as optical isolators, analog signal modules, and solid-state relays.

The SC-2053 Cable Adapter comes with 8 digital lines and 16 analog terminals. The signal conditioning accessories can be connected with these channels. The accessories for the NI SC-2053 Cable Adapter can be changed easily. The process only requires the replacement of the port that is connected between the accessory and the Cable Adapter. Hence, you can use any supported DAQ device with the SC-2053 Cable Adapter.

SC-2053 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the cable adapter will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
