National Instruments SC-2057 Cable Adapter

The SC-2057 is a Cable Adapter designed for signal conditioning. The NI SC-2057 has been launched by National Instruments. The main function of the SC-2057 Cable Adapter is to interface NI DAQ devices to accessories used for signal conditioning. This interface link is provided by converting the cable connections of different DAQ modules into the standard pins of different SC accessories. Different accessories compatible with the SC-2057 include the 5B Series, ER-8/16 accessories, SC-206x Series, and SSR Series.

This Cable Adapter incorporates two ports: one digital port and one analog port. The digital port includes eight digital channels, while the analog port consists of six channels. The DAQ device that is interfaced can be connected to any port as per the requirements of the application. If the user needs to swap the accessory connected to the NI SC-2057, it would only require the replacement of the connector that is installed between the SC-2057 and the connected accessory. This feature allows the user to use a single accessory with multiple DAQ devices.

The National Instruments SC-2057 Cable Adapter does not need additional software for installation. The only software that is required for the SC-2057 is the driver software of the connected DAQ device. The NI SC-2057 converts VXI-DIO-128 I/O connector signals to AT-DIO-32F connectors. These devices can be connected with a SH96-96 cable. The SC-2057 has two 50-pin connectors, which do not have sets of handshaking lines.

SC-2057 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the cable adapter will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
