National Instruments SC-2061 Digital Output Electromechanical Relay       

The SC-2061 is an optically isolated Digital Output Electromechanical Relay. The NI SC-2061 is produced by National Instruments. The SC-2061 belongs to the family of SC-206x modules. The SC-2061 can also be identified by the part numbers 776336-01 and 776336-11. The NI SC-2061 is designed with 8 individual optically isolated digital output channels. This Electromechanical Relay is capable of being linked to any 8-bit digital port of many NI DAQ devices. For this, the SC-205x Series cable adapter devices can be used.

The NI SC-2061 can control high-voltage digital signals when used in conjunction with a NI DAQ module. The SC-2061 is configured with an individual ground reference for each digital output. This Electromechanical Relay has an isolation of 250 Vrms generated between channels. The SC-2061 has 400 Vrms isolation between channels and ground. The NI SC-2061 requires an external +5 VDC signal with respect to the user’s reference, as well as a pull-up resistor of 4.7 kΩ for each output channel.

The NI SC-2061 can be adjusted with metal standoffs to allow the relay to be placed on a workbench near the host computer. The SC-2061 module is suitable for use with a rack-mount chassis that the user can fit with a metal wraparound cover or a flat acrylic plastic cover. The National Instruments SC-2061 can share one 19 inch rackmount chassis with the SC-205x Series devices. The NI SC-2061 Electromechanical Relay and SC-205x Series devices can be grounded to the rack via the standoffs and chassis.

SC-2061 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the relay will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
