National Instruments SCXI-1143 Lowpass Filter Input Module
The NI SCXI-1143 (Part Number: 776572-43) Lowpass Filter Input Module has an 8th-order Butterworth filter response, eight channels, ±30 V overvoltage protection when powered on, and 333 kS/s maximum sampling rate. This module can be used for antialiasing applications and is suggested for maximum flatness in the passband. NI-DAQ 7 driver software should be used with this module. Other recommended software includes: VI Logger, LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, and LabWindows/CVI.
The cutoff frequency of the Butterworth filter on the SCXI-1143 can be programmed for a range of frequencies, from 10 Hz-25 kHz. The specific frequencies available are fc = 100 kHz/n, where n = 4, 5, …,10,000. The user additionally has the option to control the cutoff frequency with an external clock. The eight channels all function with an identical cutoff frequency. Although, the user can separately bypass the eight filters in a module under software control to keep the channel unfiltered.
The following items are required to operate the NI SCXI 1143 module: an SCXI-1304 or SCXI-1305 terminal block, an SCXI chassis or PXI/SCXI combination chassis, an E/M Series DAQ instrument or an SCXI-1600, a computer (if utilizing an SCXI chassis), cabling, a cable adapter, and sensors as needed for the user’s application. The user will also need NI-DAQ and one of the software types mentioned previously, as well as guides/user manuals to each of the instruments being used.
SCXI-1143 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
