National Instruments AT-485/4 Serial Interface Device

The AT-485/4 is a Serial Interface Device developed by National Instruments. The AT-485/4 comes from the family of USB interfaces. The NI AT-485/4 is available with part number 777311-04. The voltage rating of the external power supply required for the AT-485/4 is +12 VDC.

The NI AT-485/4 is designed to replace USB ports with the serial ports using a communicating serial bus. For communication goals, RS-422 interface boards are availed on these asynchronous serial ports. Powerful drivers are retained in each interfacing device which is responsible for improved performance and valid sharing interruption between ports. The AT-485/4 Serial Interface Device is also equipped with 2 ports relied on the bus type used for communication. In order to utilize RTS/CTS handshaking hardware lines, the AT-485/4 device can be established as a standard serial port. The NI AT-485/4 has operating compatibility with standard PC serial ports. The AT-485/4 is operated on powerful drivers to employ an advanced transceiver control mode relevant to the RS-232/485 interface boards. LEDs are featured at transmitter/receiver ports in the AT-485/4 device. All types of USB interface boards should only be operated in an indoor environment. According to the IEC-60068-2-1 and IEC-60068-2-2 standards, the ambient temperature of all USB interfaces should be in the range from 0 to 70 °C.
