National Instruments SET-1320 Optical Isolator

Featured with 32 optically isolated outputs, the NI SET-1320 (Part Number: 785671-01) is a 60 Volt Optical Isolator for National Instruments SLSC. This Optical Isolator offers open-collector outputs with wide output voltage and high isolation voltage. The outputs provided on the SET-1320 can switch up to 100 mA of current at 60 Volts, while maintaining rack isolation and galvanic channel-to-channel isolation. The isolation mechanism is effective in breaking ground loops. Thus, the SET-1320 can protect the test equipment from DUTs. This Optical Isolator can easily be controlled from any logic-level digital output source, such as a compatible PXI Digital I/O Module or a C Series Digital Module. The SET-1320 features reverse polarity protection, since its outputs operate while protected against reverse polarity to voltages -60 VDC.

The SET-1320 Optical Isolator is widely used in test and measurement applications for the isolation of computers from DUTs or field devices. This Optical Isolator supports DUT characterization which is considered important in parametric testing. You can drive the SET-1320 through the SLSC chassis or through the RTI. RTI inputs are compatible with TTL and LVTTL logic levels. The SET-1320 allows the flow of current from positive channel CH+ to negative channel CH- with the outputs in the ON state. The reverse polarity protection inhibits any current from flowing from the negative CH- to the positive channel CH+. This Optical Isolator offers up to 120 VDC channel isolation between two non-adjacent pins; otherwise up to 60 VDC isolation can be achieved between various channels and between channels and the chassis ground.
