National Instruments SLSC-12201 Digital I/O Module for SLSC

Featured with 32 bidirectional digital channels, the National Instruments SLSC-12201 (Part Number: 785356-01) is a Digital I/O Module designed for SLSC. When you set the channels as inputs, you can configure them to be in sinking, push-pull, or sourcing mode. When you set the channels as outputs, you can configure the channels to be in sinking or sourcing mode and set the logic threshold.

This module offers a broad range of signal levels compatible with aerospace and automotive levels.  The NI SLSC-12201 is designed to comply with the SLSC level 1. This Digital I/0 Module has 32 front I/O channels. These channels are divided into two banks (Bank 0 and Bank 1). Each bank comes with two ports and each port has eight channels. Port 0 and Port 1 represent Bank 0. Port 2 and Port 3 represent Bank 1. The NI SLSC-12201 requires an external power supply that can provide 5 VDC to 33 VDC.

The minimum required voltage to operate this device is 4 VDC, below which the unit will lockout. This module comes with integrated overvoltage protection that is set at ±60 V. The National Instruments SLSC-12201 supports customized, power-on configuration. Moreover, you can configure channel direction individually through software. Some features like digital input range, digital input threshold, and external power supply (Vsup) can also be configured, but on per bank basis. this module can provide up to 50 mA of continuous output current. The digital output from the NI SLSC-12201 can be generated at a maximum pulse width of 100 ns.

SLSC-12201 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
