National Instruments SLSC-12251 Fault Insertion Module

The SLSC-12251 (Part Number: 786444-01) is a Fault Insertion Module. The SLSC-12251 module is created by National Instruments. The NI SLSC-12251 module belongs to the Switch, Load, and Signal Conditioning (SLSC) Series by National Instruments. The SLSC-12251 module is manufactured with part numbers based on cable accessories. The SLSC-12251 module can be used with the following accessories: RTI-12306 (Part Number: 785378-01), TB-12396 (Part Number: 786640-01), TB-12397 (Part Number: 786639-01), and the SP18M-SP18F Cable (Part Number: 147945-01). The NI SLSC-12251 module can be used with the NI-SLSC version 18.5 or later driver software. In addition, this module should be calibrated every two years to maintain peak performance.

The NI SLSC-12251 Fault Insertion Module is designed with 16 channels. The SLSC-12251 channels function at 8 amperes current rating. The NI SLSC-12251 module comprises switch matrices and current monitoring. The SLSC-12251 module offers interfaces from the module’s channels to other channels or multiple types of buses. These buses include A, B, load, and a paired channel.

The NI SLSC-12251 module is also designed as a voltage provider device. The SLSC-12251 Fault Insertion Module has a channel current that is proportional to the provided voltage. The generated voltage from the NI SLSC-12251 module can be estimated by another device. The SLSC-12251 module utilizes three different kinds of VI software packages for the demonstration of multiple tasks. These software packages are Configuration.vi, Fault Monitor.vi, and Current Sensing.vi.    

SLSC-12251 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Fault Insertion Module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
