National Instruments ISC-1772C Smart Camera

The National Instruments ISC-1772C is the color variant of the NI ISC-1772. This Smart Camera has the same characteristics as the monochrome version. The ISC-1772C is specially designed for industrial applications where color images are required to be generated at high speeds. This Smart Camera comes housed in a robust, metallic housing and has an integrated 1.6 GHz microprocessor. The progressive scan CCD sensor utilized in this version is a Kodak KAI-0340SCM sensor. With this Smart Camera, you can acquire images at a maximum useable frame rate of 65 fps with 34 microsecond minimum exposure time. 

The National Instruments ISC-1772C Smart Camera is known for its powerful communication capabilities since it offers Ethernet connectivity, serial connectivity, 4 optocoupler type inputs, and 4 open collector type outputs. However, additional accessories like cables and splitters are required to access the onboard I/O through its 8-pin M12 connectors. This industrial Smart Camera is dispatched with 512 MB of DDR2 installed system memory. For firmware and images, 2 GB solid-state storage is also provided on this device. 

The NI ISC-1772C supports serial communications with other serial communication capable devices up to 115.2 Kbps baud rates. The default baud rate set for serial communications is 9,600 bps. You can easily interconnect this Smart Camera and your already existing automation or control hardware over 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps Ethernet. The auto-speed detection function of the ISC-1772C allows the device to auto-negotiate and choose an appropriate connection speed.

ISC-1772C Maintenance Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Smart Camera will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
