National Instruments SSR-IDC5 Input Module for SSR

The SSR-IDC5 is an Input Module designed for SSR. The SSR-IDC5 Input Module is made by National Instruments. The NI SSR-IDC5 module is a member of the SSR Series of input modules by National Instruments. The SSR-IDC5 module is compatible with DAQ devices offered by National Instruments. The NI SSR-IDC5 utilizes personal computers and data acquisition devices for multiple types of interfacing.

The NI SSR-IDC5 module enables connection with PCs to control field voltages. There are some hardware requirements for SSR-IDC5 operation. For utilizing the SSR-IDC5 module, a user needs an SSR-IDC5 instrument, Phillips screwdrivers, a SSR backplane module, and a NI DAQ module. The NI SSR-IDC5 Input Module is connected with data acquisition devices via the SC-205x Series instrument. The SSR-IDC5 senses a digital voltage value from field-based sensors and passes that value to the NI data acquisition (DAQ) modules.  

The National Instruments SSR-IDC5 Input Module is assembled in a way that shifts the DC voltage towards a logic signal based on the TTL standard. The SSR in the SSR-IDC5 module stands for solid-state relays. The IDC in the SSR-IDC5 stands for DC input voltage. The DC input voltage for the SSR-IDC5 is about 32 VDC. The NI SSR-IDC5 module uses an optical isolation method for interfacing PCs to the field devices. The SSR-IDC5 uses a 50-pin connector for the SSR backplane and NI data acquisition (DAQ) modules for connections.       

SSR-IDC5 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Input Module for SSR will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
