National Instruments SWB-2810 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock

Designed for National Instruments SwitchBlock, the SWB-2810 (Part Numbers: 781421-10 and 781420-10) is a 1 A, 4 x 43 Matrix Module. This module offers up to 150 V or 1 A switching with a maximum power of 20 watts. In a single carrier, the NI SWB-2810 can be configured to operate as a 4 x 258 matrix module. Moreover, this module can be expanded up to 4 x 1032 matrixes in a single PXI chassis. You can create a customized multicard SwitchBlock device by using the NI SWB-2810 with other National Instruments SWB cards.

This module comes equipped with reed relays with Iridium contact material. In typical operating conditions, the relays can operate or release in less than a millisecond (when up to 8 relays are actuated simultaneously) and less than two milliseconds (when up to 50 relays are actuated simultaneously). The carrier of this reed relay Matrix Module requires 20 watts of power at 5 V or 5 watts of power at 3.3 V.  

The SWB-2810 Matrix Module has a 96-position SCSI I/O connector. With this module, you can drive a total of 176 relays simultaneously. This Matrix Module is a reliable switching solution, since the relays have high expected electrical and mechanical relay life. Each relay provided on this module requires up to 50 mW of power to operate. The total power consumption for relays should not exceed 8.8 watts. The NI SWB-2810 is a CAT I device and can only be used in <150 V systems.
