National Instruments SWB-2811 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock

The National Instruments SWB-2811 (Part Numbers: 781421-11 and 781420-11) is a 1 A, 8 x 21 Reed Matrix Module. This module is designed to be used with National Instruments SwitchBlocks. The NI SWB-2811 is considered a viable solution for high-power applications. This module can be used as a single relay card or can be expended in a single PXI chassis or carrier. With this module, you will be able to interconnect any input or multiple inputs with any output or multiple outputs. The SWB-2811 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock can be used for routing signals for DMMS, arbitrary waveform generators, power supplies, and oscilloscopes to various test points on a UUT or unit under test. 

The biggest benefit of the matrix switch is simplified wiring. This reed Matrix Module supports 1-wire configurations and has 8 rows and 21 columns. The maximum switching voltage achievable through this module (per channel) is 150 V at 1 A maximum switching current. The National Instruments SWB-2811 Matrix Module comes with high-quality and fast actuating reed relays, designed to provide you with reliable switching regardless of the switching frequency and loads. 

This module is designed to operate in a single-wire topology with 8 x 21 matrixes. The NI SWB-2811 is designed to drive as many as 176 reed relays simultaneously. However, the total number of relays actuated simultaneously puts a negative impact on the relay’s actuating time. This SwitchBlock Module requires a PXI carrier module and cannot be operated as a standalone switching device.
