National Instruments SWB-2812 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock

The National Instruments SWB-2812 (Part Numbers: 781420-12 and 781421-12) is a Matrix Module for SwitchBlock. This module is meant to be deployed as an add-on module and cannot be used as a switch by itself. Thus, you will require an additional carrier module to have your SWB-2812 commissioned. For this module, the PXI based National Instruments NI-2800 can be used as a carrier module. 

The NI SWB-2812 supports switching through PXI based systems and can be integrated into PXI systems through the NI-2800. This module is designed to operate in the 16 x 9 topology. However, you can always integrate various National Instruments Switching Modules to create a customized switching system. The NI-2800 has the capacity to hold as many as six SWB-2812 or multiple kinds of relay cards. 

The NI SWB-2812 comes equipped with specially designed reed relays. These quick-actuating relays can deliver the user the ultimate switching experience, despite the switching loads and the switching frequency. This Matrix Module for SwitchBlock allows 150 VDC maximum switching voltage and up to 1 ampere maximum switching DC current. With this module, you can achieve up to 20 watts switching power per crosspoint or per channel. 

The NI SWB-2812 has a maximum simultaneous relay drive limit of 160 relays. Thus, it can be considered an ideal solution in high-density applications where fast switching is required at higher voltages and current. The relays used in the construction of this module have Iridium contacts. This module dissipates 8.8 watts of power.
