National Instruments SWB-2813 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock

Designed to work in the 4 x 21 topology, the National Instruments SWB-2813 (Part Numbers: 781420-13 and 781421-13) is a 2-Wire Matrix Module. This module is designed for NI SwitchBlock systems. You cannot use this module as an independent switching device, since it can only be deployed using a carrier device. National Instruments offers NI-2800– a PXI based carrier module for the NI SWB-2813 and various other SwitchBlock modules. Thus, you can construct a customized switching system according to your application requirements. This module comes equipped with mechanical reed relays. These relays are designed for frequent operations and have iridium material contacts.

The National Instruments SWB-2813 Matrix Module offers simplified wiring that allows you to change the internal connection routes without any manual intervention. Thus, you can create highly customized test systems by using an SWB-2813 or a combination of NI SWB modules. The carrier device compatible with this module can accommodate up to six relay cards.

The I/O connector provided on this Matrix Module is a 96-position connector. The row and column organization in the National Instruments SWB-2813 Matrix Module for SwitchBlock brings enormous flexibility because it allows you to connect a channel from one row to any channel in another row or column. The NI SWB-2813 offers many advanced features, including relay health monitoring, hardware triggering, and relay count tracking, etc. This module can operate with a maximum bandwidth of 8 MHz and requires one slot within a carrier module. The maximum switching current DC is 1 A and the maximum switching voltage DC is 150 V.
